The Foz do Lizandro beach project developed by Concepsys in 2006 wins the “Beach + Accessible” award for 2023.
According to the website of the National Institute for Rehabilitation,
“The Beach + Accessibility Award aims to distinguish national beaches, coastal or inland, which, having been awarded the Praia Acessível (Accessible Beach) flag during the bathing season, show the best accessibility conditions, thus constituting themselves as national reference practices, for the quality of the enjoyment of their offer of services and well-being that they provide to people with reduced mobility.
Launched in 2009, this annual prize is awarded by a national jury made up of a representative from each of the organizations below and a representative from the sponsor of the competition:
- National Institute for Rehabilitation, which he chairs
- Portuguese Environment Agency, I.P.
- Turismo de Portugal, I.P.
- Directorate-General for Maritime Authority / Shipwreck Relief Institute
- European Blue Flag Association – ABAE/FEE Portugal
- IACESS Sponsor
This project, which includes all the work on the beach, including the raised walkways, several bars and restaurants, a parking lot and work to protect the dune and cliff, was developed and coordinated by Concepsys.
